Our telemetry systems triggered a critical alert on a client’s core storage server: 2 out of 24 solid-state drives (SSDs) had unexpectedly entered a pre-failure state. While the server’s 3-drive fault tolerance had not yet been breached, the array was highly vulnerable.
We didn’t wait for the array to crash. Utilizing our on-hand hardware inventory, we immediately dispatched an engineer outside of business hours to swap the failing drives, ensuring zero disruption to the client’s operations.
